Janhavi Acharekar (born 1973) is an Indian writer of fiction and travel. She is the author of the novel Wanderers, All (2015), a collection of short stories Window Seat: Rush-hour stories from the city (2009) and a travel guide Moon Mumbai and Goa (2009). ==Early life and education== Janhavi Acharekar grew up in the cities of Mumbai of Kolkata and obtained a degree in English from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai, She has a master's degree in English from the University of Mumbai and a diploma in mass communication from the Xavier Institute of Communications. She began writing as a freelance journalist for ''The Independent'' while a student at St. Xavier’s and went on to work as a copywriter in advertising.
